On 5 February 2011 Slovenian ski runners Vesna Fabjan and Katja Višnjar won a golden and a silver medal in the world cup individual sprint free ski run challenge in Ribinsk, Russia.

Vesna Fabjan, golden winner: »I am really glad. This is wonderful! I always like to compete here in Ribinsk and this golden medal will stay in my memory for ever. I have repeated a last year’s victory, but real historical success for Slovenian Nordic Teams in this year competition was that Katja Višnjar also won a silver medal.«
