Gorenje and the famous designer held a special publicity event to present the new collection Gorenje designed by Karim Rashid, recently launched in the Russian market. At the event, Karim charmed the journalists and editors of the Russian media with his charisma and thoughts on how design and beauty can simplify and elevate our everyday life: »Good design is a rapture of experience. I believe objects and spaces should not be obstacles in life but raptures of experience. Objects become the organisms we live with.«

Needless to say, RFW visitors were fascinated by the supremely fashioned appliances from the new Gorenje collection designed by Karim Rashid. They are characterized by the refined rounded lines and the illumination provided by LED stripe whose colour can be changed as desired. The ambiance can thus be adjusted to suit our current mood or even our lifestyle. The ultimate fashion colour is, according to Karim Rashid, of course pink.

Karim Rashid is a man of many talents. He is one of the world's most original and prolific industrial designers, with an extensive body of work: over 3,000 of his designs have actually been in production, including virtually everything in home interior – from a salt shaker and sofa, to light fixtures and home appliances. In addition, Karim Rashid is also an architect, decorator, lecturer, writer, artist, even a fashion designer and a DJ.

As a DJ, he was the soul of the party celebrating the Russian Fashion Week’s 20-year anniversary. The event, held at the extravagant venue of Moscow's Nobu restaurant, went on from evening until the wee hours of the morning.
