Franjo Bobinac awarded French National Order of Merit
On 15 April, was Franjo Bobinac, Gorenje president and CEO, awarded the French National Order of Merit by the French ambassador in Slovenia, Mrs. Chantal de Bourmont. Mrs. Chantal de Bourmont stressed during the bestowal ceremony, which took place in her Ljubljana residence, that the award is expression of gratitude to Mr. Franjo Bobinac for cultivating and promoting relations between both countries, especially regarding the economy. The award is given by the French President.
Mr. Bobinac thanked for the award with the thought that some countries tend to isolate themselves during the crisis what he regards as a mistake: “Protectionism is suicide for the European Union. Now we need to cooperate and bond with each other. That is why, the award for cultivating and promoting French-Slovenian relations has even greater importance."
