Collection Gorenje Pininfarina Black presented in Turin

Gorenje organised yesterday a press conference for interanational journalists in the headquarters of the company Pininfarina Extra in Turin, Italy presenting the newest design collection Gorenje Pininfarina Black. Gorenje launched the collection at the end of 2007.

An elegant collection, that follows the trend of glossy black surfaces and the undying interweave of different materials and colours; aluminum and glass, glossy and matte. In the household appliances segment, black has been increasingly replacing white colour, and it now represents the key element of distinction, luxury, and elegance. The appearance and rich functionality of the new collection thus represent comfortable life that seems to be the choice of an increasing number of contemporary consumers. It is their lifestyles that co-create the trends as they only choose those precious items for themselves and their homes, in which they will see daily the everlasting beauty and value.
Gorenje's newest collection was presented to the journalists by the world renowned designer Paolo Pininfarina himself. Pininfarina, who has been the leading name of the Turin based company Pininfarin Extra, was in 2006 elected Deputy Chairman of the Pininfarina group. Regarding the collection, Paolo Pininfarina said: “Colour black stands for distinctiveness, luxury and elegance. Just think of the fashion world: elegantly dressed ladies wear black; evening dresses and dinner jacket suits are black as well. The seriousness of the colour black integrated in our collection of household appliances Gorenje Pininfarina Black is balanced by the light of electronic displays. By combining the distinguished design of Pininfarina and advanced technology of Gorenje, we have developed a luxurious collection with timeless flair.”  He also highlighted a 18-year-long winning cooperation with Gorenje which he described as a strategic implementation of the common vision of future.

The collection Gorenje Pininfarina Black is based on the classic silver line Gorenje Pininfarina that has been sold for two years. The best sales results have been recorded in Russia, Germany, Ukraine and Scandinavia. In most cases consumers buy the whole collection set. On the list of the best sold appliances from the line are hobs, in-bulit ovens, fridge-freezers and distinguished hoods. Gorenje’s Marketing Director Aleksander Uranc presented to the journalists the trend of using black colour. Gorenje implemented the colour in a range of its own appliances, among which ovens, Old Timer refrigerators, Premium Touch washing machines, fridge-freezers with Swarovski crystals, trendy collection Gorenje Ora-Ïto and not the least, the whole Qube concept have had the widest repercussions. “The collection Gorenje Pininfarina Black is designed for trendy aesthetes who choose only best for themselves and their home. It aims mostly at better-off consumers sensitive to contemporary design.”
